Late Magic Gets Kansas City 3-2 Win
|
Led by Kevin Stark, the Kansas City Royals downed the Detroit Tigers, 3-2. Stark went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Royals. Their 28-42 record puts the Royals last in the American League Central Division.
In the bottom of the eighth, Stark put his team in front with his 15th home run of the season. The solo home run, which came against Malcolm Shelvin, made it 3-2, Kansas City.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Stark told the Kansas City Daily News.
