Jose Mejia did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Frisco RoughRiders from losing, 7-6, to the Midland RockHounds at Security Bank Ballpark. Mejia went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. With the win, the RockHounds improved to 35-61.

A key moment came in the bottom of the seventh inning when RockHounds catcher Jesse Nunes socked a 1-1 fastball to center for a run-scoring single, putting Midland up, 7-3.

"They played a better game than we did," said Frisco skipper Damian Velazquez.
