Baca Tosses 3-0 Shutout Wednesday, August 5th , 2099 The Toledo Mud Hens were almost helpless today in their 3-0 loss to the Columbus Clippers and hurler Travis Baca. Baca kept the Mud Hens confused all game, spinning a 5-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Baca," Toledo manager Mike Sizemore said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 31-year-old right-hander had 3 walks and 6 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Baca said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." On the season Baca has compiled a 6-8 mark with a 4.07 ERA in 19 starts.
