Hits Galore: Shuford Drills 5 Hits Monday, May 11th , 2099 The Akron RubberDucks upended the Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field today, thanks in large part to second baseman Chris Shuford, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the RubberDucks to a 8-2 victory. Chris Shuford singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Shuford has gotten 37 hits in 120 at-bats for a .308 batting average with no home runs. His stats include 10 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has played in 29 games.
