Burgos Tames Nationals 7-0, 15 Ks Thursday, May 7th , 2099 Everything was working for Ramon Burgos today at Ed Smith Stadium. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The changeup was working. In an unforgettable performance, the 28-year-old Burgos fanned 15 Nationals and sparked the Lynchburg Hillcats to a 7-0 victory over Potomac. He left Nationals hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Lynchburg manager Josh Anthony. "His location and command were really something." In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 8.1 innings, Burgos allowed 5 hits and 4 walks in a superlative outing. "I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Burgos said with a smile.
