Twins Shut Out Cardinals, Cottrell Winner Friday, April 10th , 2099 Russell Cottrell handcuffed the St. Louis Cardinals at Target Field today, coming away with a 4-hit, complete game shutout. "I had everything working for me out there," the Minnesota Twins right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted." With his stuff working, Cottrell had little trouble with the Cardinals and led the Twins to victory, 6-0. He recorded 10 strikeouts and 2 walks in an impressive performance.
