Hit Parade: Thomas Pops 5 Hits Saturday, April 11th , 2099 Avery Thomas had an answer for everything the Seattle Mariners threw at him today at Safeco Field. The San Diego center fielder went 5-for-5 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Padres on top, 12-2. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Thomas said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
