Allen Shuts Out Cardinals, 2-0

Kyle Allen was dynamite at Busch Stadium today, blowing away the St. Louis Cardinals in a shutout victory. The Milwaukee Brewers starter had everything working as he held the Cardinals to 5 hits in the 2-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said St. Louis skipper Leyland Thomas. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Allen finished the game with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Allen has made 6 starts, tossed 46.1 innings, struck out 62 batters and walked 12. His record is 4-0 with a 1.36 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .194 batting average.
