Playoff Bound: Royals Win Wild Card Monday, October 7th , 2097 The Kansas City Royals have secured a berth in the Major League Baseball playoffs. The club officially claimed a wild card position today, on the strength of their 88-68 record. "Obviously we would have liked to have won the American League Central Division, but we're still proud of our accomplishment," said closer B.J. Edwards. The club will be vying for their franchise's 3rd championship when the playoffs get underway. |
