San Diego officials presented their new reliever Pete Newell today before a packed clubhouse of media representatives, agents and baseball officials.
The deal is worth an estimated $72,500,000, and runs for 4 years.
In his career Newell has compiled a 42-44 mark in 453 games with 745 strikeouts and 230 walks in 627.1 innings. He has been credited with 100 saves and has a 3.13 ERA.
