Pittsburgh and Philadelphia announced some roster changes today as the Pirates acquired 28-year old 3B Nate Oliver, 31-year old LF Sean Williams, and 34-year old RF Jose Moreno from the Phillies in exchange for 22-year old LHP Gabe Fay, 20-year old minor league 2B Jon Hernandez, a 1st round draft pick, and a 3rd round draft pick. Representatives from both teams say they are pleased with the deal.
Philadelphia will retain a portion of Oliver’s remaining contract.

In 796 career games, Oliver has put up a .245 average, collected 161 doubles, 16 triples, and 144 home runs, driven in 400 runs, and scored 400 times.
