In what local scribes are hailing as a huge move for the team’s future, the Cardinals inked a $4,500,000 deal with reliever Jose Anguiano.

Team officials expect Anguiano to fill an immediate void on the roster and felt the deal would solidify them as a playoff contender.

In his career Anguiano has racked up 511 innings in 325 games and earned 41 saves. He has 482 strikeouts in 511 innings along with a 3.50 ERA and a 31-15 won-lost mark.
