Mike Badura stepped before the podium this afternoon with St. Louis officials flanking him on both sides as he doffed the Cardinals cap and announced he’d reached an agreement to play in St. Louis for 1 year.
The deal, an estimated $8,000,000 in total, is widely seen as a positive move for an organization and an upgrade.
Looking at his all-time stats, Badura has a lifetime .244 average with 1316 hits, 302 doubles, 35 triples, 142 home runs and 588 RBIs. To date he has scored 650 runs, walked 417 times and stolen 84 bases.
