Mariners Snatch Late-Game, 3-2 Win
In a low-scoring contest between the Seattle Mariners and the Houston Astros, 25-year old right-handed pitcher Tommy Houston proved to be the difference. The Seattle right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Mariners win. Ryan Snyder snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-2 on the season. Chris Sanchez suffered the loss. Ryan Kelly closed the game out for Seattle, earning his 7th save.

Jesus Vazquez was 1-3 for Seattle. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Vazquez had a clutch at-bat. Facing Houston hurler Chris Sanchez, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Mariners a 3-2 lead.

"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Mariners manager Huckleberry O'Day.

Houston drops to 10-19.
