Braves Hold Off Nationals, 2-1
The Atlanta Braves went home winners at Nationals Park, thanks in large part to starter Andy Bourdeau. Bourdeau stifled the Washington Nationals, enabling Atlanta to grab the 2-1 win. Chris Snodgrass got the save, the 11th for him this season. With the loss, Washington sinks to 8-22.

Second Baseman Kenny Akers made an impact for Atlanta, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Mike Rios in the top of the fourth. For the contest, Akers went 1-4 with a double.

"Andy approached every single pitch he made with total conviction," said Atlanta manager Dan Hoagland.
