Tollefson belts 2 home runs to Fuel Yankees Offense
The New York Yankees defeated the Baltimore Orioles by the score of 10-8, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Rich Tollefson. Tollefson went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Yankees on the day. New York starter Bob Lattimer was credited with the win after throwing 109 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 4-2. Pete Thomas got credit for the save for New York. It was his 2nd of the year.

With New York leading 3-1 in the top of the third, Tollefson hit a cutter from Nick Locicero for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Yankees ahead, 6-1.
