The 10-5 Houston win over Los Angeles was due in large part to David Musquiz. The Astros catcher went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Kihachi Okuhara got the win, improving to 1-4. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 5 runs on 12 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. Los Angeles is 14-17 after the loss.

Willie Valiente was 2-3 with a triple and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Houston. The five-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring single off Richard Clare. It was his 31st hit of the season.
