Blue Jays Solve Orioles, 6-3
|
The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Baltimore Orioles, 6-3. Toronto pitcher and Brandon, Canada, native Steve Makeever led the way. Picking up the save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jay Courtney. Early on, the Blue Jays, at 23-8, have played an impressive brand of baseball.
Dennis Desper helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Blue Jays.
"Felt great, felt really good," said Makeever.
