Hustle Need Extra Frames to Get Past Rangers
Las Vegas left-hander Jose Cruz helped his team edge Texas by the score of 3-2. Cruz kept the opposing lineup in check. Las Vegas reliever Adam Betts picked up the win, while Aaron Aycock took the loss for Texas. The Rangers fall to 14-18 and continue their lackluster start to the 2098 season.

The Hustle procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Steve Lawler. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

In postgame comments, Lawler said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
