The Hagerstown Suns topped the Lakewood BlueClaws, 4-2, in South Atlantic League action at First Energy Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Hagerstown pitcher Ruben Gutiorroz. Gutiorroz picked up the win for Hagerstown, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 5-7. The Suns raised their record to 52-25.

Hagerstown used a timely hit from Nick Stielow to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Suns ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"Ruben kept them off-balance, threw a great game for us," said Suns manager Chris Schneider.
