Josh Vaughn played a key role in a gritty 2-0 Arizona Diamondbacks win against the San Francisco Giants. The Diamondbacks, at 10-23, sit in last place in the National League West Division.

Vaughn gave Arizona an exquisite performance. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 7.2 innings.

"Josh was locating, throwing all of his pitches," said Arizona manager Terrell Bailey. "He did a heck of a job."
