San Francisco Rallies for 4-2 Win
|
San Francisco Giants starter Brian McQuain was on his game, helping his team beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-2. San Francisco reliever Mario Correa picked up the win, while Dave Simmons took the loss for Philadelphia. Men Pimentel picked up the save, his 5th.
Mike Pothast, the 4th overall pick in the 2105 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Pothast contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put San Francisco up, 3-2.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Pothast said.
San Francisco, now 11-21, is off to a slow start.
