Cincinnati Beats Milwaukee, 6-5
|
Cincinnati beat Milwaukee at Miller Park, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to catcher Chad Crane. He was 2-3 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win went to Neal Kinch in relief, making him now 2-1. Jason Panzarella took the loss for Milwaukee. The 4th-place Reds go to 18-18.
Cincinnati used the timely hitting of Allan Alessi to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Reds on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Crane told the Cincinnati Today.
