Astros Suffer 4-1 Loss to Rays
|
Tampa Bay Rays starter Brian Rains found his groove in his team's 4-1 win over the Houston Astros. Rains got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Tampa Bay now owns a record of 14-21.
Tampa Bay relied on the hitting of Darwin Corrick to pick up the win. The first baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rays on top, 3-0. For the game, Corrick had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"That was a really good outing by Brian," said Tampa Bay manager Kyle Delgado.
