Giants Win 2-1 Nail-Biter Versus Rays
|
In a close contest featuring the San Francisco Giants and the Tampa Bay Rays, pitcher Brian McQuain was in the zone. The San Francisco right-hander helped his team prevail, 2-1, in 15 innings. The win went to Colin King in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Johnny Grove took the loss. The loss makes Tampa Bay 24-14.
The Giants got a clutch hit from center fielder Justin Rowell. In the bottom of the 15th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Giants.
