Royals Sting Twins, 6-2
|
A 3-RBI performance from Edgar Pirir helped the Kansas City Royals beat the Minnesota Twins, 6-2. The Royals, at 14-26, sit in last place in the American League Central Division.
Pirir contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Kansas City in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Pirir took a fastball from Josh Schumann and stroked the home run to left-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Royals to leap in front, 3-1.
"Edgar is still learning," said Royals manager Connor Gould. "The sky's the limit for him."
