In a low-scoring tilt between the Cleveland Guardians and the Washington Nationals, 28-year old right-handed pitcher Manny Castro was the difference-maker. The Cleveland right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. The 'W' lifts Cleveland's record to 18-22.

The Nationals had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Guardians going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old right fielder Kevin Dillhoff came to the plate. Dillhoff hit a solo home run on a first pitch knuckle curve from Washington hurler Jesus Duran. It was Dillhoff's 1st home run of the year.

"Runs were at a premium," said Cleveland manager Mike Nichols.
