Hustle Deal Giants 7-2 Defeat
The exploits of center fielder Rick Roberds, who is tied for 10th in the NL in bases on balls with 19, helped the Las Vegas Hustle defeat the San Francisco Giants, 7-2. Roberds went 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Jason Hudgins, the winner, improved to 3-5. He held San Francisco to 2 runs on 3 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. Bill Grow finished to wrap up his 1st save.

Las Vegas relied on the bat of Jose Espinoza to get the win. The third baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hustle ahead, 3-2. For the game, Espinoza had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.

"It's a long season," said Espinoza. "We'll keep working to improve."

The triumph makes Las Vegas 14-26.
