Los Angeles Bats Go Silent in 5-0 Loss
|
Andy Bourdeau, who is a eight-time All-Star, was terrific for the Arizona Diamondbacks in his team's 5-0 triumph over the Los Angeles Dodgers. His performance earned Bourdeau rave reviews. The victory gives the Diamondbacks a record of 22-19.
Josh Robinson had a big 2-run triple for the Diamondbacks in the bottom of the third inning. With Arizona leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Humberto Rivera, who is tied for 3rd in the NL in innings pitched with 61.1, and swatted a triple to right. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Diamondbacks ahead, 3-0.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Bourdeau.
