Mike Travis left his imprint on the 4-3 Boston win against the Texas Rangers. Travis, who is tied for 8th in the AL in total bases with 86, was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jeff Robles sewed up the save, his 1st. The defeat makes Texas 21-20.

Travis had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 curveball from Joe Jafar, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Red Sox a 4-3 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Travis.

"We did enough to win," said Travis.
