Rays Lose 5-2 Decision to Astros
|
The Princeton Rays opened their 2099 season with a disappointing 5-2 loss to the Greeneville Astros at H.P. Hunnicutt Field. Third Baseman Jeremy Allen was a big part of the win for Greeneville. He went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. Ruben Martinez came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.
Early in the game, Allen had a run-scoring double for Greeneville. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Astros on top, 1-0.
