Kingsport pitcher Billy Galindo had a large part in his team beating the Elizabethton Twins, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. With the win, Kingsport improves its record to 4-6.
It could have been a different outcome for Kingsport, had it not been for Cliff Neilson, the 22-year old center fielder . Neilson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Kingsport up, 2-0.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Mets manager Juan Nunez. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
