Giants Stick Pirates with 6-2 Loss
|
No one was more impactful than Austin Higgins in the 6-2 San Francisco (Rk+) win over Bristol. Higgins went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Rafael Sustaita, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. The save was credited to Rich Durr, his 1st.
San Francisco (Rk+) took a 6-1 lead on Alejandro Reyes's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Bristol pitcher Juan Benavides in the bottom of the seventh.
"We'll savor this win," Reyes told the San Francisco (Rk+) Citizen, "then get ready for the next game."
With the win, San Francisco (Rk+) elevates its record to 8-2.
