Astros Shut Out Braves, 3-0
|
The Greeneville Astros went home winners at Pioneer Park, thanks in large part to starter Humberto Rosado. Rosado stifled the Danville Braves, enabling Greeneville to grab the 3-0 win. Donnie Edwards closed the door for Greeneville, picking up his 5th save of the year. Greeneville goes to 8-5.
The Astros got a big at-bat from left fielder Carter Henderson. For the game, Henderson went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Greeneville a 3-0 lead.
Henderson said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
