The San Francisco Giants got a magnificent performance from pitcher Dan Roberts, who muffled the Arizona offense en route to a tight, 3-1 Giants win at Chase Field. Colin King nailed down the save. San Francisco is 4th in the National League West Division with a record of 21-20.

The Giants got a big at-bat from designated hitter Chris Allen. For the game, Allen was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave San Francisco a 2-1 lead.
