Royals Suffer Humbling Defeat
Good production from right fielder Rafael Luque helped the Johnson City Cardinals topple the Burlington Royals, 16-3. Luque was 1 for 1 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Cardinals. Johnson City pitcher Dave Coronado got the win. He's now 2-0. Leonel Solis was tagged with the loss. The Cardinals improved to 12-6.

Early in the game, Luque had a 2-run home run for Johnson City. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Cardinals on top, 2-0.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Luque.
