Blue Jays Run Win Streak to 8
|
Bluefield starter Steve Siefert pitched well against the Greeneville Astros at Pioneer Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. Mike Aguilar sewed up the save, his 1st. The Astros, at 10-9, have lost 4 straight games.
Bluefield used the timely hitting of Jorge Ayala to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It's great to be on a roll," said Siefert.
