Astros Suffer 5-1 Setback
|
Burlington Royals starter Greg Stoll hurled his team past the Greeneville Astros, 5-1. Stoll, now 2-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 2, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. Burlington has 14 straight wins, Greeneville 3 straight losses.
The Royals took the lead in the top of the third when Jonathan Adamson banged a two-out triple. Burlington had been trailing 1-0, but Adamson hit a 2-0 curveball from Harman Wellon for a 2-run triple.
"They played a better game than we did," said Greeneville skipper Matthew Oset.
