Giants Reel Off Another Win
|
San Francisco (Rk+) designated hitter Jacob Peete had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Princeton Rays, 7-0. Alex Malpica claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. His record stands at 2-0. San Francisco (Rk+) is in third place in the East with a record of 18-11.
With San Francisco (Rk+) leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Peete hit a fastball from Javier Flores for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Giants ahead, 5-0.
"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Peete.
