Astros Need Extra Frames to Get Past Mariners
The Houston Astros picked up a win at Safeco Field, taking down the Seattle Mariners, 7-5, in 10 innings. On the mound for Houston was left-hander Miguel Fregoso. He played a central role in the triumph. The winner in relief was Ethan Gordon. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-2. Houston bumps their record to 19-25 with the win.

Houston used the timely hitting of Travis Gibb to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Astros on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Houston manager Zeb Currier.
