Losing Trend Continues for Houston
With first baseman Nate Findlay leading the charge, the Boston Red Sox defeated the Houston Astros, 9-6, at Fenway Park. Findlay went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Boston reliever Justin Gerrity picked up the win. Yao-pang Yun took the loss for Houston. Boston now owns a record of 19-24.

The Astros had been locked in a 5-5 tie with the Red Sox going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the former first overall pick Travis Dawley came to the plate. Dawley hit a 2-run home run on a 0-1 sinker from Houston hurler Yao-pang Yun. It was Dawley's 6th home run of the year.

"No one likes losing," said Houston manager Gustavo Olvera. "We've hit a tough patch, but we're going to get through it."
