|
San Francisco (Rk+) shortstop Paul Brown helped his team beat the Boston (Rk+) Red Sox, 6-2. Brown went 3 for 4 for the Giants. Reliever Sam Rollins picked up the win. His record improves to 5-1. Edgar Rivera took the loss. At 17-19, the Giants find themselves in first place in the East.
Roland Meyer, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2106 draft, helped out the San Francisco (Rk+) cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman was 1-3 with a hit by pitch.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Brown told the San Francisco (Rk+) News. "Whatever it takes."
