Victory Pushes Mets Record to 28-6
|
The Kingsport Mets beat the Burlington Royals by a score of 5-1. Kingsport third baseman Francisco Marquez deserved the lion's share of the credit. Marquez was 1 for 3 with a double and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI for the Mets. Luis Sanchez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Emerson Neil was tagged with the loss. Kingsport is now 28-6, 4 games up in the West.
Adam Jensen aided the Kingsport cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
