The Baltimore (Rk+) Orioles and starting pitcher Eric Thomas stifled the Bluefield offense en route to a comfortable 8-1 win at Bowen Field. Thomas got the win, improving to 3-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Baltimore (Rk+) is now 20-18.

Baltimore (Rk+) used a well-timed hit by Josh Cummings to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Orioles ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"That was not our best effort," said Bluefield skipper Chris Jeffreys.
