Giants Rally For 6-4 Win
|
Getting offensive support from Daniel Nieto, the San Francisco (Rk+) Giants topped the Danville Braves, 6-4. Nieto went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Giants. Mario Paz earned the save, his 1st. San Francisco (Rk+) raised its record to 19-19 with the win.
Glenn Rudloff, the 21-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Rudloff contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put San Francisco (Rk+) up, 5-4.
"If it's down the middle," said Nieto, "you might as well hit it."
