Pulaski got a strong outing from Dan Simon as the Yankees defeated the Burlington Royals, 4-2, at Calfee Park. With the win, the Yankees improved to 18-23.
Andres Torres had a big 2-run home run for the Yankees in the bottom of the third inning. With Pulaski leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a splitter from Jorge Gurule, who is tied for 4th in the APP with a 1.02 WHIP, and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Yankees ahead, 4-1.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Torres told the Pulaski Times.
