Pirates Use Late Rally to Win
|
In a tight tilt between the Bristol Pirates and the San Francisco (Rk+) Giants, Justin Robison was the deciding factor. The Bristol right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Bristol now owns a record of 9-30.
Bubba Kirby was 1-3 for Bristol. The 17-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Mike Billingsley. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Robison told the Bristol Observer. "Whatever it takes."
