Yankees Chop Down Blue Jays, 5-1
|
Sean Emrick was nothing short of phenomenal for the Pulaski Yankees. The 22-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the Bluefield Blue Jays, 5-1. Emrick picked up the win for Pulaski, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. The last-place Yankees now have a record of 9-34.
Pulaski used a clutch at-bat from Jim Unknown to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Yankees ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We'll build on this win," said Emrick.
