Orioles Slap 5-2 Loss on Elizabethton

The Baltimore (Rk+) Orioles picked up a win at Ballpark of Pearl River, knocking off the Elizabethton Twins, 5-2. On the mound for Baltimore (Rk+) was right-hander Alex Alanis. He played a key role in the triumph. Alanis, who is tied for 2nd in the APP in quality starts with 8, went the distance for Baltimore (Rk+). He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. With the win, Baltimore (Rk+) pushed its record to 29-14.
Danny Rios had a big 2-run home run for the Orioles in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Baltimore (Rk+) leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a splitter from Santos Bueno and swatted a home run to left. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Orioles ahead, 4-0.
