Giants Dealt 3-0 Home Loss

Elizabethton and San Francisco (Rk+) duked it out and the Twins came out victorious.
In a low-scoring contest between the Elizabethton Twins and the San Francisco (Rk+) Giants, 19-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Ambrosio proved to be the difference. The Elizabethton right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-0 Twins win. Ambrosio yielded no runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-2. Picking up the save was 19-year old left-handed pitcher Mario Palma.
Jim Hudnall had a direct impact on the outcome. Hudnall contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put Elizabethton up, 1-0.
"Whenever I help the team," said Ambrosio, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."
Elizabethton has rattled off 4 straight wins.
